Ray is a graduate of Loyola University, Chicago, Institute of Pastoral Studies, in the Pastoral Counseling program. This program integrates psychology and spirituality as a holistic approach to counseling. He also is pursuing certification as an addiction counselor
Ray is embarking on a new career and calling as a Pastoral Counselor. He retired after thirty-six years of government work and has a Master of Arts degree in Urban Studies. For more than twenty years he has been active in various parish ministries primarily as a Minister of Care in homes and hospitals in the Chicago Archdiocese. He also has been a volunteer working with the indigent elderly in Chicago.
He has an interest in working with the elderly and those in transitions to their lives who seek help, support, and insight. He is an avid golfer and some-time fisherman. Ray is a part-time resident of the area.
